My sister and I love playing golf together, but it’s rare for us to be able to play a round without the company of someone else. On Wednesday we played the long and challenging Meland course, just the two of us, and had a great time. As usual when we’re together, it wasn’t very quiet.
The round went a bit slower than it could have because of the fourball in front of us, but as it was one of the warmest evenings we’ve had all year we didn’t mind at all. We also got more chatting time at the tees.
Meland is 5255 meters (5747 yards) from the red tee and 6203 meters (6784 yards) from the back tee, so you get a bit of a workout when you carry or drag your bag around the whole course. An added bonus.
Sølvi is lining up her shot on hole 2. A 331 meter (362 yard) par 4. The people in the back are playing hole 10.
Hole 11 is one of my favorite holes. Shortish par 4 with a beautiful lateral water hazard that I end up in way too often. Here we have the green on our right hand and are looking back down the fairway.
To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme you must post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken and then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky at that Saturdays Snapshot post at At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and can be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. All Alyce asks is that you don’t post random photos that you find online.
