This week’s Sunday stills challenge was to pick two of the old challenges from the archive and have fun with them.
I looked through the old challenges and decided to do something with coffe mugs and liquids. Then we blew bubbles at Solan and I ended up with some totally different challenges. So here you are; Pets and Reflections (with a bit of macro).
Solan was rather impressed by the sheer number of bubbles that came flying towards him.
Some of them got very colorful reflections.
Come here you!
He was really focused on the bubble on the table (that you can’t see in the photo), completely ignoring the one stuck to his ear .
The bubbles stuck to everything, and in some cases stayed there for a long time. Soap and water doesn’t taste very good, so pet-bubbles are made with some kind of tasteless gel. If they don’t pop quickly some of them can stay around for hours. We still had a few bubbles around 24 hours later.
Another thing you usually don’t get with soap bubbles are bubbles slowly losing air. This one settled on my arm and slowly crumbled. Kind of cool.
In the end Solan got worn out by all the bubble fun, and he had some gel to clean off his fur.
The photographer thanks you for your attention.

Very interesting shots!
How fun! I love Solon’s reactions to the bubbles!
These are so amazing!! I’ll have to get some bubbles for our cat!
Absolutely amazing! The first one is magical.
Nice shots and great detail. The close up of the bubbles on your arm and your reflection are very good.
Supre bilder!
What fun shots!!! and such a beautiful cat!!! I love your self portrait in the bubble…and Solan with the bubbles are both priceless!
These pictures are just absolutely incredibly wonderful. Solan is — there are no words for how gorgeous this cat is!
As you know, I am the father of a wonderful ragdoll cat also. Jack is 12 years old and he’s my best bud. I would show him these pics of Solan but I don’t want him to get in a cat-funk. Currently he thinks HE is the most beautiful cat in the world!
Good news that you fixed the comment issues. I tried to comment on your Saturday Snapshot[s] yesterday and could not do so.
All the best to you and that bubble-eating feline!
Thanks. I saw your photo of Jack with his head down a flower pot, and he’s certainly a handsome specimen too.
WOW, these are fantastic. That bubble on your arm is amazing and i love how you captured Solan’s expressions.
Cats+Bubbles= Excellent shots!! That first one is classic..:-)
Wow, these are awesome! I had to laugh when I got to the last shot of your pretty kitty, he is no longer amused – so very cat like. I’ve never heard of pet bubbles, I’ll have to keep my eyes open for them.
That second shot is just AMAZING!!
Wonderful shots! I smiled all the way through!
