The collection contains nominees for the 2010’s Nebula Awards and was published in time for the 2011 Nebula Awards in May 2011.

As always is the case with short story collections, it took me a while to read this one. But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy it. Being a collection of nominees to a prestigious award it contains stories that a lot of people think are good, so the quality is generally quite good. But personal taste also play a big role, so there was a lot of stories I liked, a few I loved, some I laughed at and some I didn’t much care for. Still, even with stories I didn’t much like, I found the writing to be good. It’s just didn’t appeal to me.

For anyone who likes reading science fiction-/ fantasy short stories, this is a good way of getting some of the best North American ones from 2010.
