One of my reading goals for 2012 is to read the novel that wins the Hugo Award 2012, and now the nominees for all the categories have been announced:

Best Novel
Among Others by Jo Walton (Tor)
A Dance With Dragons by George R. R. Martin (Bantam Spectra)
Deadline by Mira Grant (Orbit)
Embassytown by China Miéville (Macmillan / Del Rey)
Leviathan Wakes by James S. A. Corey (Orbit)

I’ve already read Among Others and Embassytown, so if one of them wins I’ll have to read one of the others. These two are the only ones that are also nominated to the Nebula Awards. We’ll see in September.
