Three different pictures today:

The coastal steamer Nordstjernen has been sailing along the Norwegian coast for 56 years, doing about 1500 round trips Bergen – Kirkenes – Bergen. On Thursday she arrived in Bergen for the last time after completing another round trip and now she’s headed for retirement. That doesn’t mean she won’t be sailing anymore. She’ll be cruising at Svalbard this summer. I captured her heading north from Bergen yesterday afternoon. She’s a grand old lady.

Yesterday was georgeous, and Nordstjernen wasn’t the only one heading north on the fjord.

People were having fun on dry land too. I discovered this skateboarder and his friends outside the courthouse in Bergen. It’s was fun to try to catch them in the air.
