Saturday snapshot – March 3rd. 2012

This Saturday it’s all about yesterday.

We live on a hillside. My bus from work goes all the way up, and usually I follow it all the way. But some days I jump off a bit earlier and walk the last part of the trip. Yesterday was a beautiful early spring day here in Bergen, and I had my camera along, so I decided to walk home along one of the routes we have available. It goes over Hellen Fort, part of the old defences of the harbour.

It’s a nice road up to the fort. No cars allowed.

The trees are still waiting for spring.

But the snowdrops are all ready.

Almost home.

Are you coming inside or are you going to keep messing around with that camera?

To participate in the Saturday Snapshot meme you must post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken and then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky at that Saturdays Snapshot post at At Home With Books. Photos can be old or new, and can be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. All Alyce asks is that you don’t post random photos that you find online.

  1. I laughed at the cat photo! He/she? has such an expression. The snowdrops are just beautiful!

  2. That cat looks angry! Someone better get inside with some cat food!

Great pictures – what a scenic spot.

  3. You must have a lovely view from that high up! And cats always seem to have angry looks of some sort – except for those moments when they’re laying in the sun in the summertime. :)

  4. Nice, no cars to spoil nature. Looks like a nice walk. Once the little flowers pop up their heads it’s spring time for me.

  5. These are such wonderfully beautiful, peaceful photos. The place where you live is gorgeous.
Some trees get by with just plain old branches here and there… but that tree in the second shot, those are capillaries. An advanced circulatory system there.
And Solan, so very beautiful of a beast — very very similar to my own darling ragdoll, Jack.
Jack seems to have more HAIR though, like more bushiness to him.
    Wishing you all the best,
    Cip
