For christmas I got the nicest present from some friends. They gave me Ready Player One by Ernest Cline for my Kindle. It took me a while to start reading in, but now I’m well into OASIS with Wade.

The beginning:

Everyone at my age remembers where they were and what they were doing when they first heard about the contest. I was sitting in my hideout watching cartoons when the news bulletin broke in on my video feed, announcing that James Halliday had died during the night.

It’s sort of a tame beginning, but it gets better.
